Who is a buyer? A buyer is basically anyone who buys or purchases and pays for a product or service. To keep it short, a buyer is also someone who wants to buy the best quality items at the lowest cost possbile.

How to become a buyer? I will answer the question with another question - what are you looking for? You should always go from there, your needs, or if you are a professional buyer, the needs of the company or organization that you are working for, when you want to be the best buyer that you can be. 

Some of the things that are important are price, quality and availability/location . The price of a product is, of course, always an important factor. Is it reasonable? Will you afford buying this product? If you order online, how much will you pay in package and postage?

Quality is also important to consider. Does the product show the signs of good quality? You should consider the price in here too; there might be a difference in quality between a t-shirt for five dollars and one for fifty-five dollars. Sometime, you do get what you pay for (not all of the time…sometimes you might be surprised, both in a positive and a negative way). 

Location and availability are also aspects to consider. Is the item or service that you are looking for easy to find? Do you have to travel far to get it? Maybe you can even find the product online, and have it delivered at your door within a few days? Can you wait for a few days, or do you need it right away?

Customer service might be another thing to have in mind. Do they treat you well when you come into the store? Are you able to exchange things or get your money back if you, for some reason, are not pleased with the product? Did you get a receipt for your purchase?

Another important thing to remember is to compare between different sellers and stores. If you have the time, compare prices, quality and so forth between different places. In the long run, it can be worth it and you can save a significant amount of money. Also try to take advantage of discounts, sales and other times to save; there are times when there could be 50% discount or more. 

So, the key to success is awareness of these factos, and time to take them into use them.
